Riventic Flow replaces manual planning with simulation-based AI optimization, with an interactive Gantt chart and an optimization core that cuts setup times and keeps deadlines better.

Three core properties
Simulation-based optimization for better sequences and realistic times.
The AI plans, the planner decides: every change is approved by the planner before it is applied.
The plan shows what is happening on the machines right now, with an instant preview of every change.
The core problem
A perfect production plan collides with the reality of a manufacturing day. Play the interactive demo and see where classic planning tips over, and how Riventic Flow responds.

The software
Two views of the same plan: the Gantt chart for visual overview and drag-and-drop, the detailed planning table for details and bulk editing. Each has its strength, and together you plan fastest.

Visual overview of all machines, move orders by drag-and-drop, knock-on effects shown instantly.
Both views stay in sync, the strength lies in the interplay.

Architecture & workflow
Data flows from your ERP into Riventic Flow: Riventic Guard checks it for consistency, Riventic Core plans, the custom interface makes the plan visible. The planner reviews, adjusts and approves it for the ERP. The human stays in control at all times.
Approved plan back into the ERP
The modular optimization core runs simulation-based. Several methods are integrated and cover all typical production constraints.
More on Riventic CoreApproval & control
Whether the optimization core creates the plan or you build it by hand: it only reaches the ERP system once you approve it. Beforehand you adjust it, for example by moving individual orders.

Import of the optimized plan after approval
Writing happens only on active publish: trial run, your confirmation, automatic backup, then the transfer. Nothing runs into the ERP automatically.
Before approval you move individual orders by drag-and-drop. Riventic Flow shows the effects immediately.
Sequences, dates and moves you plan entirely by hand if you wish. You don't have to use the optimization.
Typical requirements
A planning system is only as good as the constraints it knows. Riventic Flow supports the typical requirements of industrial production planning and does not simplify the problem away.
Precedence relationships between orders are enforced throughout.
Working and shift calendars per machine are fully taken into account.
A defined time horizon stays fixed, so short-term replanning doesn't disrupt the running shop floor.
Setup effort depending on the sequence is predicted realistically with AI models.
Limited resources like tools and staff as a hard constraint.
Material availability and buffer capacities as a checkable constraint.
Minimum and maximum time buffers between orders, e.g. for cooling or drying.
Orders and items are bundled into production groups and scheduled together.
Optimization for your target metrics, e.g. lateness, setup time, lead time or idle time.
We build further individual constraints into the optimization as hard conditions.
Connectivity & operation
Riventic Flow fits into your existing IT, on-premise and on any screen.
Standard connection to your ERP and shop-floor data acquisition. Orders and live feedback flow bidirectionally.
The planning interface scales to wide and multiple monitors. The whole plan at a glance.
Runs entirely in your data center. Your data never leaves the building.
Available in the browser and as a native desktop app, with the same interface.
Riventic Flow already runs in daily production at our first customers, proven on real manufacturing data.
To the articleScientific basis
The optimization core is based directly on the award-winning research of our co-founder Prof. Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Lang on AI-based production scheduling.
His dissertation on methods of reinforcement learning for production scheduling was honored in 2024 with the Science Award for Logistics from the German Logistics Association (BVL).

Beyond packaging
Riventic Flow was born in the packaging industry. But its optimization core masters the hard constraints of order-based manufacturing: sequences, setup times, shift calendars, resources. These apply across industries: anyone who produces to order can integrate Riventic Flow.
OriginPrinting and finishing with high product variety and sequence-dependent setup times.

One-off and small-batch production with complex, multi-stage routings.

Batch and order-based production under tight delivery dates.

Machining, forming and assembly with sequence-dependent setups.

Assembly and mounting with many parallel orders and tool binding.

Injection molding and extrusion with tool- and machine-bound planning.
The rule of thumb
If you think in orders, machines and deadlines, Riventic Flow fits. We roll Riventic Core out to further industries with ease.
